Mae Cyngor Tref Bae Colwyn yn gwahodd enwebiadau ar gyfer Gwobrwyo Gwirfoddolwr y Flwyddyn 2021/22 . Mae yna saith o gategorïau i’w henwebu:                             

• Person Ifanc (dan 25 oed), neu grŵp o bobl ifanc
• Oedolyn (25-64) 
• Oedolyn (65 a hŷn)
• Gwirfoddolwr neu Grŵp Gwyrdd
• Ymddiriedolwr
• Grwpiau Eraill (dau neu fwy o unigolion, p’un ai’n gyfansoddiadol ffurfiol neu’n anffurfiol)
• Categori ychwanegol (ar gyfer y rhai nad ydynt efallai’n cwrdd â gofynion y chwe chategori arall).

Dywed Tina Earley, Clerc y Dref: “Rydym erbyn hyn yn y ddegfed flwyddyn o Wobrwyo Gwirfoddolwyr, a gyflwynwyd i gydnabod cyfraniad gwerthfawr y nifer fawr o wirfoddolwyr lleol a grwpiau gwirfoddol sy’n dangos anhunanoldeb, ymroddiad a gwasanaeth i’r gymuned leol ac yn ysbrydoliaeth i eraill. Hi. My name is Jason and I manage CVSC’s Community Support Hub. I am proud to say that this is my third stint with CVSC and coming back here is a pleasure and an honour. I always repay the trust CVSC place in me by giving 100% to the communities we serve and supporting the astounding work the sector plays in the positive development of people’s lives.

The Community Support Hub has been established to provide Conwy’s residents with a one-stop-shop approach to a host of wellbeing services provided by recognised and trusted organisations in the local area. When a person contacts us, we won’t just give out some phone numbers, we’ll work with individuals to access the services they require. By contacting the Community Support Hub, residents will be welcomed by trained CVSC staff members with years of experience within the sector who will work with them to make sure they get the help they need and deserve.

BAY OF COLWYN TOWN COUNCIL

The Bay of Colwyn Town Council has allocated £5,000 from its annual budget to help support youth projects/activities in 2022, for young people in the Bay of Colwyn area (Rhos on Sea, Colwyn Bay, Upper Colwyn Bay and Old Colwyn).

Applications are now being invited from local groups/organisations seeking funding support (capital or revenue) for projects, activities or events that will specifically benefit young people up to 25 years of age.

The closing date for applications is noon on Monday 31^st January 2022.

The Bay of Colwyn Town Council is now inviting nominations for its Volunteer of the Year Awards for 2021/22.  There are seven categories for nomination:

• Young Person (under 25 years), or group of young people
• Adult (25-64)
• Adult (65 and over)
• Green Volunteer or group
• Trustee
• Other Groups (two or more individuals, whether informal or formally constituted)
• Additional Category (for those that may not meet the criteria for the other six categories)

Town Clerk, Tina Earley, states: “We are now in the tenth year of our Volunteer Awards, which were introduced to recognise the valued contribution of our many local volunteers and voluntary groups, who show selflessness, devotion and service to the local community and are an inspiration to others.  This is our annual opportunity to say “thank you” and I would urge you all to think about the other unsung heroes in your community and consider nominating someone you know for our awards for 2021/22”.

The deadline for receipt of nominations is 31st January 2022.

BRC COVID-19 Vaccination Support - Patient Advocate

• good interpersonal skills, and ability to be respectful and empathetic of individuals and their concerns which may include an ability to deal with conflict.
• Have sufficient physical fitness and mental concentration for the role (this includes standing and walking potentially for the entire shift).
• Be able to use IT and access the Internet.
• Willing to complete a criminal record check (DBS).
