Hello and welcome to 2021!

New year / new format / and new schedule for SwaffWords©. For now, SwaffWords© will be bi-monthly instead of weekly. Not to worry, you'll still have open access to what is now almost 300 videos on either my YouTube Channel or in my Facebook Video Library. As before, there will still be a "main" video with another one or two that support it. This just gives you more breathing room to settle into the teaching(s) and see what surfaces for you.

So, having clarified this, let's get started with a "twofer"—a reframe and a practice that is at the very least, quite timely:

How often have we all been in a situation where it just seems we're not speaking the same language? While we're each speaking a valid language in its own right, once in conversation it's essentially gibberish. What if we chose to find some kind of common ground? a way to connect, converse and maybe even get our needs met?

Common Ground

This softens the pattern we can find Our Selves in when we encounter someone we don't know, whose outlook and approach to life are different from ours. It also gives us a different way forward instead of dismissing them as separate from us and "Other":
