Hope you had a great weekend.
Man, I am PUMPED because I finished my freaking taxes today and got them submitted to my accountant. I hate that crap!
Anyway, I've got a video for you today.
I have been
working more Single Arm Pulling Variations in, because I got away from them for a while due to my left hand injury.
One that I have been doing is 3-Point Rows with the 200lb Kettlebell.
Check out the video here
If
you need your upper back and pulling muscles to be strong, this is a great way to get it done. These are tough and require a who bunch of muscles and joint to work together to get the job done. That's a big reason why I like them so much.
Single Arm Rows like this work the core a lot more, so you need to be ready for that. That loading on one side of the body requires stability and the anti-rotational strength is
awesome if you do Overhead Press training as much as I do.
The nice thing about rowing with Kettlebells is that a lot of the mass lies below the handle, so you can handle a lot of weight with these. These days, I am much more interested in Rowing some heavy weight than I am about concentrating so hard on a solid muscle contraction.
Naturally, a lot of people don't have
200lb Kettlebells laying around the gym. That's fine - just use dumbbells. I just like the Kettlebell, because it's already heavy and I don't have to load anything up. I'm kinda lazy sometimes when it comes to stuff like that.
These are also really good for developing Grip Strength, and you can alternate between using a full power grip (fingers AND thumb) or just using your fingers to make it even harder to get
bunches of reps.
As you'll see in the video, I'm using Versa Grips, so my injured hand doesn't need to work so hard or get broken down and have my next day's grip session affected.
Just a favorite exercise that I thought I would share. Let me know if you give it a try.
Thanks and all the best in your training.

P.S. Our 3rd session of Dumbbell Bench with chains added is coming up tonight, and I'm excited brotherrrr! My buddy, Jim Wagner, gave these a run over the
