Sun Into Gemini 2015 Edition

Hello Readers!

Welcome to the Gemini cycle and happy birthday to the Geminis amongst us, and their twins.  With Mars, Mercury and now the Sun in the sign of meeting and mingling, we’ll all feel the urge to move around and connect.  The Mercury retrograde may throw us a few obstacles and delays, but it ends on June 11th.  Two key trends get underway during this cycle, Venus entering Leo for a four-month layover and retrograde, and Saturn’s retrograde back into intense Scorpio.  All of the details are in this month’s video.  Also, look for a second half of 2015 overview coming to Soundcloud soon courtesy of Kristina Walsh’s “Surfing The Psychic Waves.”  Kristy Ayala and I will be back on her show next month when the Sun enters Cancer.  Until then, enjoy the sociable season ahead and the rest of this month’s newsletter.
From The Oracle

Aries

It is time to act. The initiating energies of bold and dynamic change are at hand, and they are urging you to take action now.

THE MEANING BEHIND THE CARD

The Cardinal fire sign of Aries sets the annual astrological year in motion, and its appearance indicates that you are ready to blaze a new trail. Fearless, audacious, and decisive, Aries energies are here to embolden your spirit with fervor and courage. Singular and independent, Aries also prompts you to be honest about your needs in this situation. It is time to set your terms and to act accordingly.

TOOLBOX

See red! Fire-engine red is the color most associated with the sign of the ram, and it can revitalize your energy field anytime you need a lift. Burning a bright red candle is the strongest way to connect with Aries fuel. You can also inscribe the Aries glyph on it to boost its charge. But if that is impractical, you can place red items in your environment or visualize a red-orange flame moving through your body. Once Aries energy is ignited . . . fogginess, lethargy, and depression quickly gives way to power, passion, and the drive to get things done.

AFFIRMATION

I am fearless and filled with vitality.

Astrologically, this is an interesting Oracle message because Mars, Mercury and the Sun will be favorably positioned with Uranus In Aries (as well as Venus and Jupiter in Leo).  So there is abundant initiation energy around us this month.  Take notice of the new people and opportunities that show up this cycle.
Notes On Gemini

Of course, this would be the sign that would get yours truly to sit down and do a little writing.  Experimenting on Youtube for the past few months has been fun, but there is a serenity in writing that I find very soothing.  As I reflected on the dawning cycle and tried to make sense of the various and varying energies coming in, one simple (and obvious) idea revealed itself, air.  As we know, Gemini is an air sign and it is also one of astrology’s four mutable signs.  The four mutable signs close each of their respective seasons and thus signal a time of change.  As we ponder the conclusion of spring, the start of summer and our aspirations and plans for 2015 and life in general, the element of air can assist and support us.

First, getting some fresh air is always to our benefit.  Whether it is by taking a few minutes to step outdoors, walking to an appointment instead of driving or by opening windows, the clean air always manages to clear our energy fields, minds and spaces.  Next, the scents of incense, flowers and oils can be extremely uplifting and pleasant.  Sage and lavender purify, rose opens the heart chakra and sandalwood and frankincense connect us with a sense of the sacred.  For the dedicated, there is also the power of breath work in meditation.  For those of us who aren’t so great at deep meditation, singing is an easy shortcut to oxygenating the blood and receiving the benefits of air.  Then there’s talking things out with a good friend, colleague or mentor, and of course, equally being a good listener.  Finally, after flipping through Angela McGerr’s timeless “An Angel For Every Day” I was reminded of the many ways that the Angels communicate with us.  If you’ve been asking the Angels for help or clarity, notice when feathers or wing-shaped clouds appear.
Sun Into Gemini 2015: Change Is In The Air
When the Sun travels through the mutable air sign of Gemini in 2015, Mercury will be retrograde, Venus will settle into Leo for a four month stay and Saturn will move back into Scorpio to complete a 29 year cycle.  In this video companion to her monthly newsletter, I talk about these key trends and the skies ahead.

Here at HQ, I’m spending the Mercury retrograde doing some musical rewrites and re-recording lots of vocal parts.  Note to self: be certain about a song’s key before recording layers of tracks.  Harp practice is getting back on track and it’s nearly warm enough here to get outdoors. Now if it will only stop raining!  My dream of playing the harp on some lovely plateau is becoming more possible as the days pass.  I’ll post some more music soon.  Until then, I hope that this last month of spring 2015 is a gentle, happy and peaceful one for you.

With love,
Elizabeth
