Eating for the RESULTS you want

Published: Wed, 02/07/24

Did you ever think, “If a nutritionist designed all my meals, I couldn’t fail?”

We all start with that notion.

It’s why many of us seek out strict diets, “done-for-you” meal plans, and precise recipes.  Because, we assume, if we know exactly what to eat, the results we want will follow.

And that’s totally logical.

Only it often doesn’t work out that way.

At least not for long. Even if the eating plan is “perfect.” That’s according to recent research from Stanford University.

Plus, it matches what I’ve learned in the last 16 years coaching clients.

💥 Here’s a summary of the scientists’ findings:

► After trying out meal delivery for four weeks, every study participant preferred making their own food over getting the “no thought” healthy meals that were provided to them by a nutrition scientist.
► The participants said they wanted shopping lists, meal ideas, and recipes but then didn’t use them.
► The participants ended up making only small adjustments to their normal diet —even though they agreed to follow a very specific, expert-designed diet.

This tells us what?

Diets, meal plans, and even prepared meals don’t solve the real food challenges most of us have. That’s because they don’t take into account all the factors that influence what, how, and why we eat.

Unless you’re working with a personal coach—one who knows and understands you and your life—the probability of finding a diet that REALLY works for you can be frustrating!

Let’s break this down a little more.

Sure, done-for-you diet programs and cookie-cutter meal plans might help you for a few days or weeks.

But they tend to quickly fall apart when you start missing your favorite foods… or you have a rotten day at work… or you get into an argument with a loved one.(Raise your hand if you ever “eat your feelings.”)

Instead…consider this:

What’s getting in the way of the results you want?
And what could help you start making progress right now, without disrupting your entire life? Or causing you to feel deprived… or miserable… or overwhelmed?

Otherwise, it’s just a guessing game.

And that won’t help you.

💥 Looking at the context of your life changes everything.

Because when you want to change, these crucial details (details that diet books and one-size-fits-all weight loss programs can’t account for) make ALL the difference.

It’s an investment in your health that pays out priceless dividends—to your mood, energy levels, relationships, work productivity, and overall well-being—starting now, and for the rest of your life!
