Happy Thursday!
It’s been a little over a week since I have sent you a love letter (lol), and during this time, thanks to a knee surgery, I’ve had some time to reflect. What else are supposed to do, right
Today, I thought I would share with you some of my reflections since all of us are committed to living our healthiest & strongest
lives.
Here are 10 Reflections I’ve experienced that I believe will resonate with you:
Strength Is Not Just Physical:
True strength is as much about our mental fortitude as it is about our physical capabilities. Embrace challenges; they make you stronger inside and out. My surgery got pushed out over 6 hours, in my head
I left the pre-op room over 300 times – lol!
Recovery Is an Art and Science:
Listening to your body and giving it the time to heal is crucial. It’s a delicate balance between pushing enough and not too much. Knowing and doing this is a great challenge.
Patience Is a Superpower:
The road to recovery has reminded me that progress is not always linear. Patience is not just waiting; it’s believing in the strength of what you’re waiting for.
Every Muscle Counts:
From the ones you see to the ones you don’t, each plays a vital role in our overall health and functionality. Appreciate and work them all aka patience muscle for me:-)
Perfection Is Not the Goal:
It’s about progress, not perfection. Celebrating small wins is key to long-term success. I haven’t been perfect AND I haven’t been awful either. Balance and keeping the end goal in mind.
Hydration and Nutrition Are Your Best Allies:
What we feed our
body and how we hydrate it can significantly affect our recovery and overall health. I have been eating and drinking mindfully. Control what you can control.
Mindset Matters:
A positive mindset can be another one of your best allies in health and fitness. It’s the fuel that powers our commitment to ourselves. Keeping it present and future forward thinking is key.
Rest Is Not Weakness:
Taking time to rest and recharge is essential for both mental and physical health. It’s not laziness; it’s an investment in your health. I am not going to lie, I have my comeback plan already ready
Flexibility Goes Beyond
Muscles:
Being flexible in our routines and expectations can lead to a more balanced and enjoyable journey. Adapt and overcome. Everything is always changing the fastest you understand that the better your life will be.
Community Is So Valuable:
Even in isolation, the support, love, and encouragement of our amazing fitness family community
have been one the biggest helps. Together, we are stronger ❤️
My goal for this love note today, was to have you maybe find a nugget of wisdom that speaks to you or you needed to hear as you may being going through something.
Missed you!
P.S. I’d love to hear which reflection spoke to you the most. Drop me a
reply and share:-)
Much love,
