Hello !

This weeks tech tip was sent in by two different readers:

For the cleanest possible cuts, saw blade quality is critical.

One of our extremely clever readers invested in a nice Husqvarna blade and then rented a saw to use it in,
saving herself quite a bit of cash!

So, I tried it out myself, upgrading from a 7" saw to a 10" wet tile saw with a MK Diamond blade.  And it's true!  Blade quality makes all the difference in the world.  You can see the saw in action as I'm using it to make drinking glasses.

On the blog:

Free May Kiln Carving Pattern, just in case you haven't already downloaded it.

Step by Step photo tour of a large Carved Recycled Glass Sculpture Commission.  Make sure you check out the LED lights in the base, super cool!

Thanks so much for reading.  If you have a suggestion for a recycled glass tutorial, or a tech tip, I'd love to hear it!

Best Regards,
Jodi McRaney Rusho
