Painting the inside of bottles before fusing

This week's tip is prompted by a question from Marc in the UK (thanks Marc!).  He made a cool project with paint on the inside of the bottle to block out the label text on the back of the bottle.  When he fused it flat, the front label was on a nice solid background.

His question:  Is there a better/cleaner way to get paint inside of the bottle?

My preferred way to get paint inside of a bottle is to dilute it slightly, put it in a squeeze bottle and then squirt it into the bottle through a bendy straw.

Now, why would you even want to do such a thing?

Well, you could make:
  • Tie Dye Bottles
  • Block out enamel label text (Marc's idea)
  • Paint the inside of the bottle white and fuse it flat to make a whiteboard bottle
  • Make a striped bottle, letting each paint color dry separately

I'm sure there are quite a few other things you could do with paint inside of a bottle, if you'd like to suggest an idea for a tutorial, just reply to this e-mail.

Have an excellent weekend, and hug the ones you love,

Jodi
