actionable marketing guide
Dear , Greetings! I'm thrilled to be back in New York City. Last week, I presented at MarketingProfs 2014 B2B Marketing Forum in Boston with my friends Andy Crestodina and Gini Dietrich. Our session was titled: "10 Search & Social Media Tactics to Amplify Your Content Distribution". Gini refereed 9 rounds of search versus social media topics. It was a great way to present content since the audience had to evaluate the information presented and vote on which was more effective. (Then Andy and I presented our top 10 tips each!) The bottom line: You need both social media and search to support your content marketing. Integrate both into your content plans. Social media acts immediately to drive early, broader reach. By contrast, search supports long tail findability. As the last touched media, search has the advantage of being easier to track. How can you use these findings for your marketing? Actionable Marketing Tip:
Check out Gini's blog Spin Sucks and Andy's blog Orbit Media. Both of them provide awesome content. I hope to see you in real life at a future event.

Instead, take a page from the Andy Crestodina playbook. As the Principal of Orbit Media, a Chicago based web design firm, Crestodina hosts a monthly Wine and Web in their offices to get speakers and audiences together. Continue reading |
