I have received numerous calls from women who cannot conceive or who cannot carry a child to full term, fortunately most of them can be helped.  Dr. Christopher left us a legacy of success in helping these women, with herbs and diet, to achieve a successful delivery.  I remember there were so many mothers who brought their children to his funeral that were named John, or Ray or Christopher.  These children were named after Dr. Christopher with respect and gratitude from their parents for the valuable information they received that paved the way for these children to come into the world.  It is a wonderful expression of gratitude that I have also had the fortune to experience.  These successful programs that he suggested are found in his book Every Woman's Herbal.

In light of his efforts and compassion for these families who struggled with the heartbreak of infertility, I am grateful that he isn't here today to see the modern tragedies in this arena.

 

In October of 1994, a private organization, el comite' Pro Vida de Mexico, was suspicious of the campaign protocols of an anti-tetanus campaign that vaccinated women between 15 and 45 years of age.  Obviously the question asked was "Are children and men not susceptible to Tetanus?"  Why target women of child bearing age?  To answer their own question the committee obtained vials of the vaccine and had them analyzed by chemists.  What was discovered in the vials, was tainted vaccines containing hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) which is common in humans but not in vaccines.  This hCG is harmless in the body but is devastating when injected with a toxoid.  The immune system produces anti-bodies against the injected hCG possibly rendering the recipient infertile.  Other countries encountering tainted vaccines include the Philippines, Nicaragua, Argentina, Brazil and India.

1 part catnip

(all cut leaves)

 

Mix together and use 1 tsp. per cup hot water. Let steep for 15 minutes. Sweeten with raw honey. Let stand until comfortable temperature is reached. Use in place of bottles at snack time or bed time while weaning
