Health Freedom Rings! Tatia Nelson, M.H.

On August 25, 2009, The Covey Center for the Arts in Provo, Utah was packed with well over a thousand people, seated and standing. Why? They wanted to talk about healthcare. At the time, solutions for healthcare were some of the hottest topics in America and it remains a topic needing more solutions today.  I was there.  In fact, David Christopher sat not far behind me. Out of those who voiced their opinions, we had not heard anyone talk about their personal responsibility to maintain their own good health, as our forefathers knew how to do. I was quoted in the newspaper saying that I chose to take care of my health and that everyone else can also learn how to do this. There would be no healthcare crisis if we all returned to this way of thinking. I went home that night and began writing ways I could teach America how to reclaim their power of effective personal healthcare. I then began teaching classes formally.

In June of 2014, I founded The School of Health Freedom to teach America how to be more self-reliant in their own healthcare on a whole new level.

The school offers many workshops. Our most exciting one is coming up on March 7, 2015 from 9am-6pm: Emergency Childbirth by Dianne Bjarnson. For more details, go to http://www.schoolofhealthfreedom.com/workshops/.  We will have raw food workshops and first aid certification available. There will also be many others on healthy living, alternative medical skills and self-reliant subjects.

Each student of the School of Health Freedom is encouraged to continue their education at the School of Natural Healing with an option to advance to complete a Master Herbalist degree in order to be more fully self-reliant in their family healthcare. The School of Health Freedom includes the first School of Natural Healing course, The Family Herbalist, to get you started when you enroll and pay off tuition.

We now have our own building at the Kimber Academy located at 177 E 30N in American Fork, UT!  We welcome everyone to come to our Grand Opening Celebration, April 7th, 2015 from 7pm-9pm. There will be “grand discounts” on School of Health Freedom tuition, School of Natural Healing education, and Kimber Academy enrollment! We will also roll out our on-line course option at that time. Anyone who brings a friend can be entered in the drawing to win a grand prize.

It is time to rediscover health freedom!  It is time to know what our forefathers knew that empowered them with vibrant health and little need for medical intervention. It is time to let Health Freedom Ring!

Valentine's Salad!

2 cups organic spinach or spring greens

2 cups chopped romaine lettuce

½ cup sunflower seeds, presoaked (2 hours) and rinsed

¼ cup sprouted almonds, sliced

1 cup organic strawberries, sliced to look like hearts

1 whole cucumber, slices in the shape of hearts

1 avocado, diced (optional)

To make the salad:

Place lettuce and spinach in a medium salad bowl. Then cut the cucumber by removing a triangle from the top and cutting slightly down the sides to create a heart shape. Simply slice the shaped cucumber to create hearts, and then mix these into the lettuce. To cut the strawberries, just remove a small triangle from top (to cut away green top) and slice strawberries into heart shapes.  Then sprinkle over the top in the listed order: sunflower seeds, sliced almonds, avocado, and finally strawberries.

Strawberry-Chia Dressing:

½ cup extra virgin olive oil

2 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar

2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice

¼ cup honey or agave

1/2 tsp sea salt

½ tsp ground, dry, yellow mustard

1 tsp grated white onion

1 tsp chia seeds

1/2 cup organic strawberries

To make the dressing:

In a blender add olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, honey, salt, mustard powder and onion. Blend on high-speed until smooth.  Then, with the blender on the lowest setting, mix in chia seeds and strawberries and only chop them into small pieces within the dressing. (Do not puree strawberries).  Serve on the side with the salad…Enjoy!
