 Herbal Education  Daniel Atkin, M.H.

My herbal education began the day I became a father. As my son experienced colds and other common childhood sicknesses, I consulted my sister, the internet, or any other source I could get my hands on to find a natural and healthy solution as I only wanted to use medication as a last resort.  During that time, I discovered Dr. Christopher’s herbs and was amazed at the results we were getting from using them.  Despite living only 5 minutes from The School of Natural Healing at the time, it wasn’t until I moved across the country to attend chiropractic school that I formally started my herbal education.

I pursued my chiropractic education during the day and studied online from The School of Natural Healing for a couple of hours every night. What I loved most about my herbal studies was how practical and useful the information was. I would learn something one night and be teaching friends and colleagues about it the next day. The changes people were seeing to their health as a result of chiropractic care and herbs was incredible! I would hold “Herb Nights” monthly as a way to share this information and reinforce the concepts I was learning. A year and a half later, I finished up my training and received my Master Herbalist certification.

As a Chiropractor and Master Herbalist, I am able to bring the best of two worlds together to form a dynamite combination in natural health. The education I received is a benefit not only to my patients but helps me stand out in my profession. We carry Dr. Christopher products in our office and teach classes on herbs & natural remedies. Many chiropractors would love to have a Master Herbalist working with them in their offices and I strongly encourage my herbal colleagues to seek out connections with local chiropractors.

Dr. Daniel Atkin graduated from the School of Natural Healing as a Master Herbalist in June 2013.  He is a father of 4 and a Chiropractor and Master Herbalist at Family Focus Chiropractic in Holly Springs.
