Hi ,
As temperatures plummet across Europe due to visits from Storm Emma and the "Beast from the East", you might be thinking, Leanne what the hell do you mean "Don't Freeze!"? It's snowing and the temperatures are way below zero!
Or, it may have brought a smile to your face because you recognise the quote
from the latest Marvel film, Black Panther.
Have you seen it? What did you think?
I watched it on the opening weekend and I really enjoyed it. The film definitely lived up to the hype and expectation. It even inspired my latest blog post (link
below).
The film was both thought-provoking and inspiring on a number of levels. The quote, "Don't Freeze!", got me thinking about my own life and when I have and continue to freeze, where in my life I'm acting out of fear rather than faith and what I'm avoiding because I'm afraid of possible "negative" outcomes.
It's been an interesting reflection and has triggered some deep thinking about my next steps and what I want to do and achieve during the rest of the year.
In less than 30 days, we'll be at the end of the first quarter of 2018. Can you believe that?
I'm sure that at the start of the year, even if you didn't make a resolution or set an intention, you gave some thought to what kind of year you wanted 2018 to be. How is that working out so far? Are you making progress or have you been frozen by fear and procrastination?
Fear is a natural human emotion but more often than not we fear a
perceived outcome based on past experiences or limiting beliefs. Rarely are the fears that keep us stuck based on an actual current real life threat.
Of course, it is good to pause and reflect but there is a difference between intentional contemplation and freezing.
So
if there's something in your life that's very important to you that you've been putting off or avoiding, my advice to you is Don't Freeze!
From now on when you feel yourself hesitating on something that matters to you, challenge the fear and repeat the words Don't Freeze! to yourself so that you can move past it and make your dreams a
reality.
