Long days at the computer and constantly checking our phones can bring about 'text
neck', tight shoulders and a stiff spine creating annoying niggles in other areas of the body which can end up causing a great deal of pain if you ignore the issue
Â
To counter the negative effect technology has on our bodies it's important that we learn how to uncurl our spines safely, open up the front of the body, releasing tension in the shoulders to maintain our mobility and safeguard our well being
Â
"One of the positive from practicing yoga is it can help improve posture, increase mobility and flexibility giving you a greater range of movement which can lead to less pain"
Â
'Yoga also makes you become more aware of your own body, to be respectful to it for what it can do for you rather than hating on her for what it can't
do'
Â
Our bodies and our minds have this amazing ability to heal but only if we are open to it
Â
Better posture doesn't just happen by itself, it takes you to be aware of your own body and for you to make a change for it to happen
Â
A better back doesn't just happen by
itself, it takes you to be aware of your own body and for you to make a change for it to happen
Â
Just as a better mood doesn't just happen by itself, it takes you to be aware of your own body and for you to make a change for it to happen
Â
I'm teaching Rise and Shine Yoga online each Tuesday morning this month 6.15 - 7am
Â
It's a great introduction to yoga, awakening the body slowly first thing, leaning into tightness, making you more aware of your own body and lifting your mood for the day
Â
I've opened up next week's Rise and Shine week's one off session if you'd like to join me?
All you need is a yoga mat, some space and 45 minutes for you to try out this yoga
class
Â
Â
Isn't it time you become more aware of your own body, to be respectful to it for what it can do for you rather than hating on her for what it can't
do'
