EPIC FAIL this morning....
Which in the past would have put me in a foul mood
I had to cancel this morning's yoga class due to zoom not playing ball HOWEVER instead of feeling bad for 'letting others down' I chose to take myself on a mindful walk without my phone to distract me from being present
I kid you not, taking yourself off grid even for a short time gives you so much headspace
We are so caught up in keeping up with what everyone else is doing that it can feel like a huge pressure cooker in our heads, about to blow off steam at any given moment, so finding ways to counteract that is really important for our sanity and well being
Walking is a great stress relief, it can slow the mind down and help you chill the f@%k out
Yoga is
also high up there on quietening the monkey mind. When you're deep into a yoga practice, focusing on breathing it takes your mind away from those little niggles that keep reminding you what you've not done or what you need to do
But look I know that you know that movement is good for you physically and mentally
I also know there are a
millions and one reasons AKA excuses to not get started
but I promise you once you do, you'll feel so good for doing it so why not join me next week for a few sessions to get started on your yoga journey
