Hey Guys,
Spring has sprung in many parts of the US and that has us thinking about lawnmowers. Recently Rob and Stan had a chance to visit Ryobi's headquarters down in South Carolina and they got to try not only that zero turn mower pictured above but some new push mowers and even a rear-tine rototiller. I love what that brand is doing, just cool stuff all around.
This month we have articles on preassembling exterior window trim and a laundry room makeover. Additionally we have a zero turn mower article and a couple tool reviews as well.
At the end we have the YouTube videos, as always, but Rob has been on a tear lately trying to make his shop more useful and efficient so you'll get to see that journey on video too.
Preassembling window trim is probably the best way to keep trim looking tight and clean for years to come but how do you do it? Rob breaks it down step by step how he does it which not only looks good but speeds up installation as well.
Laundry... ugh. If your house is anything like mine, the washer and dryer run almost everyday. Kids, pets, and work clothes keep the loads coming for sure. So why not have a space to do the laundry that's pleasant to be in? In this article Scott shows how he turned his laundry room from Ugh to Ahh. Check it out!
I feel a little like a broken record lately when it comes to battery technology. I'm just amazed at how far it has come in just a short while. Last month we featured a 2-stage snowblower that ran on batteries and this month we're showing a preview of some new zero-turn mowers from Ryobi. And what's great is that they are not just shoving an electric motor into a lawnmower frame, they're also making improvements to the traditional
zero-turn design by eliminating the levers in leu of a joystick. To read all about these features and more, check out the link!
Bar clamps are something we carpenters and woodworkers use all the time. For the most part their design hasn't changed much since their introduction 2 or 3 decades ago. Rockler challenged the old design and decided to improve them in a big way. How you ask? Hit the link to read all about it from Rob.
A hole saw is an essential tool on any jobsite when it comes to drilling large holes. There are two ways to go about getting the bits/saws you need as far as hole saws go. Either buy them as you need them or buy them as a kit. I went the a la carte method at first and not all of my saws fit on one arbor and they rolled around in my bag. Now, thanks to this Lenox set, they all nest together in one compact little kit. Read more about it
