Hey Guys,
Check out the picture above. No, the machines have not come to life to exact their revenge on us, that's just the automated testing rig we have for our circular saw head-to-head articles and videos. Last month we featured the 7-1/4" saws but this month it's all about the 6-1/2" trim saws.
This 3-part head-to-head isn't the only thing we've been working on though. There are also a couple of pretty good HowTo articles below as well.
At the end we have the YouTube videos, as always, but Rob has been on a tear lately trying to make his shop more useful and efficient so you'll get to see that journey on video too.
A couple years ago Rob made some beautiful raised cedar planters for his wife. Fast forward a few years and she was looking for some more planting area. With the high cost of cedar lately, he had to come up with something different that wouldn't break the bank.
If you ever type mudroom or entryway bench into pinterest, you get thousands upon thousands of ideas. I'm sure many of you reading this have probably done that same search, I know I have! That just goes to show how many are looking to get their entryway organized. In this article, Rob goes through the process of how he creates a lower drawer unit and bench-top. Check it out!
Just look at that picture. The drill on the right is the new Dewalt DCD 805. It has all the features of the old unit but in a smaller, more compact size. But it isn't just smaller and lighter, it's also more powerful. Check out the link below and see what else this new drill has to offer.
Makita now makes their wicked good plunge (track) saw to be compatible with the XGT 40V battery system. With more power available than ever before, this new saw is sure to handle all of your precision cuts with ease. TBBCrew Scott recently built some custom fit shelves with the saw and was amazed at how well it performed and how natural the plunge motion was. See all of the other notable features at the link below.
Part 2 of our 3 part mega circular saw head to head is this month's featured article. We used the saw criteria that we used in our Best 7-1/4" Circular Saw article last month. Do you think the results will be similar though? You'll have to click the link and find out for yourself.
