Contractor Advice:

Why Successful Entrepreneurs Are Effective Delegators?

Do you struggle with trying to get a job done and sell business at the same time?

The most common complaint I hear from folks who run their own business is they don't have time to do the work they love.   They went from being great "mechanics" in their respective field to sales reps or managers.

For some folks that could be the "kiss of death" if your clients are accustomed to your work performance vs an employee.

The reality is that there is always a "trade off" when you run a business.  You have to "hang up the tool belt" and start using business development tools instead!

One secret to success is delegation.  Delegators work on the   business not in, focusing on the outcome and not the process.  Highly successful entrepreneurs quickly adjust to accommodate the changing needs and new realities of a growing business.

In order to grow a business, requires leadership to shift from a do-it-yourself style to a team approach.  It also allows your team the autonomy to make decisions, become more skilled, become engaged, and develop ownership.  All of which helps with motivation and innovation to streamline the business to be more productive, methodical and efficient.

When a team is allowed to make decisions, new ideas result.

Delegation frees up your time to focus on activities that yield the highest returns for the company and that will ultimately grow the business.  Effective delegation increases employee commitment, boosts morale, and positively influences company performance.
