Raised Garden Bed
Spring is also a time for planting and growth.

Last summer we wrote an article explaining How to Make a Raised Garden Bed.  This week we finally had the opportunity to plant vegetables in it.

Creating an Outdoor Living Space

Planning Outdoor Spaces:
Regardless of your climate outdoor living spaces are quickly becoming popular forcooking, entertaining and relaxation.

More and more of my clients are looking to the outdoors to expand their homes and bring the same comforts they have inside to outdoor spaces, by creating multipurpose outdoor living spaces that function as extensions of their home.

Wood Deck to Blue Stone Patio
This 18 year old wood deck has gone through many changes over the years.

It started off twice its size and then I built the screen porch. It had railings and granite steps and they eventually were taken off, now its time to remove the entire deck and replaced with a blue stone stone patio.

Fertilizing Trees and Shrubs
Trees that live in manicured landscape and in grass areas need fertilizer more then ones that do not compete with grass and are allowed to have their leaves naturally compost.

It’s a good idea to periodically fertilize your trees and shrubs every two or three years, during the growing season, to improve the health and appearance of the trees. Evergreens should be fertilized every three or four years.
