IN THIS ISSUE Volume 32
This last weekend Todd and Rob headed out to Las Vegas to visit with the folks from Kobalt Tools. We learned about all the new tools they are going to offer this year. They are really trying to up their game and produce pro level tools at a consumer level price point.
The culmination of the recent
trip was getting to watch the Kobalt 400 NASCAR race in person so today's issue has a racing theme to it. Starting with the Kobalt coverage, then subfloor movement (rubbin'), and finally a circular saw with flames on it.

Kobalt 24 Volt Brushless Cordless Tools
.Kobalt wants to change the way you think about their tool line!
You’ll see a lot of changes come to light this year as Kobalt has completely re-designed their cordless tool line from the ground up. This new release is Phase I of a multiple phases.
Kobalt’s new goal with this release is to “up their game,” to a PRO quality line with a consumer price point.
In the past I always glued and screwed the plywood down to the floor joists. Then I would install on top of the plywood one of the many waterproofing membranes available on the market. Using this concept I was not letting my wood underlayment move. Recently however, I learned that by actually letting the underlayment move it can reduce potential tile cracking.
This was one of the first reviews I did for Tool Box Buzz. I researched and spent my hard earned money on a new circular saw and promptly went to work with it. Numerous saws have come and gone since but this little workhorse is still one of my favorites. It's powerful yet light and nimble.
I'm a huge fan of RIDGID tools and all of us at Tool Box Buzz think the Brand is a hidden
jewel for contractors. Read more to learn why Jeff thinks this saw still earns a spot in the tool crib.
