On The Level - Straight advice from the pros

IN THIS ISSUE Volume 33

Spring is quickly approaching! We've been busy traveling to media events and planning some great new projects for the Spring. One of the more popular things we do is head to head tool comparisons to help all of you cut through the marketing pitches and find the best tool for you. Two of the upcoming head to heads we have planned should be a great read! We're going to be comparing tape measures and box levels. While these may not seem as sexy as some of the great power tools we review, the response to questions to readers about these tools signal some serious passion about who makes the best. We can't wait to share the results and let the debates begin.

Continuing on the theme of bathrooms, today's newsletter contains two articles on bathroom design that should prove very useful if you're in the planning stages of a bathroom remodel at your home.

His & Her Bathroom Vanities

Over the years we've built lots of master bathrooms and each one has been quite different. One of the big trends for quite some time has been his and her vanities. One of the more popular designs we've used is the one shown above.

Using an upper cabinet that rests on the countertop as a visual separation has been hugely popular with our customers. In addition to breaking up the large counterspace it also provides some extra storage space that many master bathroom vanities lack.

If you read the full article (link below) you'll also learn another great tip I use to create even more storage space in sink bases!

Remodeling A Small Bathroom

Small bathrooms can be a challenge to design and remodel. Planning is the key to success with any remodeling project and that's especially true for small bathrooms. For me the biggest advice I can give is keeping the design simple and open.

Choosing simple, classically styled fixtures along with clean lines from tile and trim result in a small bathroom that can feel much larger that it really is. I've got lots of ideas and suggestions so click on the link below to read the entire article along with links to similar articles about small bathrooms.
