Spring is Finally Here!
Most of our editors live in the northern part of the Country so we're only now starting to feel the effects of warmer and longer days. With temperatures heading into the 70's this week it will finally start looking greener and brighter after the long winter months.
This week
we've got a fun pallet wood project, some great new tools from Makita and Southwire, and some great deck lighting ideas from Feeney.

Pallet Wood Liquor Cabinet - DIY Project
While we all love being on the jobsite all day it sure is fun to take some time and build a low stress project around the house from time to time. I recently spent a few hours in the shop building some liquor cabinets for my new bar at the house. This was a fun project that was super easy to build and very inexpensive.
After doing this project I can see why there is such a huge
craze going on with pallet furniture and decorations. If you'd like to learn how I made this cabinet be sure to follow the link for step by step directions.
The engineers at Makita have certainly been on a role lately, I guess having 100 years of innovation and boasting the worlds largest 18 volt cordless tool line up just wasn’t enough. They’re now redesigning and attacking the 12 volt line of tools with some brand new, and frankly, very sexy, uber-compact offerings.
If you'd like to learn more about these and my thoughts on them be sure to
read the full article listed below.
More often than not we are seeing homes with data wiring that hasn't been labeled during installation. This can be a huge pain for contractors and homeowners. I recently had the opportunity to use this new mapper from Southwire to track down all the data cables in my new home. Curious what I think about this new tool? Read on to find out how well it worked and what my thoughts
are.
Want to spruce up your deck? Deck lighting is making a huge impact to the deck market and we think it's a great way to take your deck to the next level. Read on to learn all about some great options from Feeney.
