June is just about in the rearview mirror and boy are we glad. It has been a very busy month as far as tool news goes and we could use a few weeks just to start digesting all of the new product
introductions.
If you followed along with our social media feeds last week, you saw that it was painted DEWALT yellow with the new FlexVolt line of tools and batteries. The core of it is a battery that can automatically switch between 18 and 54 volts (actual). If it sounds confusing, you're not alone. We break it down for you in the first article below.
The second article may look a little familiar because we've covered the Bosch GRL-500 Rotary
Laser before. Sometimes a tool impresses us so much at a media event that we review it at both Tool Box Buzz and A Concord Carpenter. The GRL-500 is one such tool, check it out.
The third article is a preview of a new 18V Brushless 1/2" Impact Wrench from Makita. We first tried this tool out at World of Concrete and were nothing but impressed. Finally we get to put it to work in the maintenance shop at the construction company and not a moment too soon. Summer is always
a busy time and when a piece of equipment goes down, that's lost money. The Makita will help keep our fleet in the black.
Hopefully you find something of interest in the newsletter and thanks for reading!
