First off, let us apologize for another late newsletter. It has been a busy travel week attending the Milwaukee New Product Symposium 2016. Next week will be quieter but soon we'll be on the road again for DEWALT. The bonus for all of you readers though is that you get to see previews of all the new tools being released for the rest of the year by Milwaukee and DEWALT. For tool junkies it's kind of like when the Sears or JCPenny Christmas catalog used to show up at the house. We'll be previewing some of our favorites over the next few weeks so that you can virtually earmark pages of the tools you want and need.

Another Milwaukee New Product Symposium is in the rearview but like the others, this year did not disappoint. There were lots of new developments especially around the OneKey platform and even expansion into OPE (Outdoor Power Equipment). Lighting also saw a huge expansion. The biggest thrill for us though was getting to play with the new 18V FUEL 10″ Miter Saw. We can’t wait to get this and the other tools out onto the job site and into the shop and tell you more about them. You too can get an inside look into the even by clicking on the link below, and visiting the image-heavy post.

Bosch GTS1041A REAXX™ Job Site Table Saw Preview
Image
This week the Bosch REAXX saws started shipping. Now there is finally some competition in the flesh-sensing job site table saw market. Bosch gave us a first hand look at World of Concrete 2015 and we could hardly believe our eyes then. Now that they are finally released, we may just faint.

You only get 10 fingers and Bosch is doing their part to help save them. They are also doing their part to help save your saw blade. The REAXX system, when triggered, blows an airbag-style actuator that thrusts the blade down below the table and away from your fingers saving both in the process. Bosch demonstrated its effectiveness by trying to cut up brats, it was a complete failure just as it would be on your fingers. It is an awesome system. Click the link below for a preview article and stay tuned for a review in the near future.
