Volume 53
As summer winds down we'll be ramping things up again in the workshop. The ToolBoxBuzz Crew is already planning the next three Head-2-Head testing for
the Fall.
Our box level head to head should be out in a few weeks.
Cordless Bonanza:
These past few weeks we've been busy testing cordless table saws, miter saws and many other tools including the Ridgid cordless router / miter saw, Dewalt's FlexVolt tools [table saw, Miter saw, circular saw and Stud and joist drill], as well as the Bosch Reaxx Saw.
Stay
tuned to the ToolBoxBuzz website for these tool reviews.
Tools on Tap Idea
We launched a weekly video series called Tools On Tap [TOT] where we discuss lighthearted tool talk. The series will take place both on the jobsite and in the shop with the
crew here and some other pro contractors.
We have 16 videos filmed and scheduled to post on Fridays.
If you asked me a couple years ago if there was anything FEIN could do to improve the MultiMaster
I’d probably say no. The MultiMaster has been the flagship OMT on the market for years and that’s because it was powerful, very well built, and optimized for amazing cutting, grinding, and sanding.
One of the fairly common problems in the past with
OMT’s has been the blade clamping
mechanism. In high demand applications many of the tools on the market would experience some blade slip resulting in less than desirable performance.
Check out how FEIN and Bosch teamed up to combat this....
A roof cricket is a structure designed to divert water on a roof.
Generally found on the high side of a chimney or the transition from one roof area to another, the cricket is normally the same pitch as the rest of the roof, but not always.
See how a cricket stops roof leaks and how to build one.
