The crazy Holiday Season is upon us and we're all working hard on all kinds of deadlines before the year ends. Next week we should have at least one, if not two new tool Head 2 Head articles wrapped up. We know these take time to publish and many of you have been asking about them on a regular basis. Fear not, we've not fallen behind, we're just working hard to be sure we deliver great content and answers for all of you.

So be on the look out in the coming days for our Level H2H and our High Demand Circular Saw H2H. We've also got some exciting building material reviews coming in the near future as well.

Here in New England most of us have chimneys that either penetrate the roof or intersect the roof line. Besides the obvious need for proper flashing around the chimney and roofing/siding materials, there's another important detail needed to help shed water around it. A roof cricket is a small "roof" section that helps pitch the water to either side of a chimney and keep it from ponding up behind it.

Attic insulation is extremely important in both cold and warm climates. Here in our cold climate there's been a change of sorts in recent years on whether or not a vapor barrier is a good idea. Recently we've been insulating the attic with blown in cellulose insulation without a vapor barrier.
