Hi Guys,

Memorial Day has come and gone and schools are starting to let out for the year. Summer is unofficially here. With that comes nicer weather and more daylight. Perfect conditions for getting those projects done.

In this weeks newsletter we have a smattering of items from buying a new chainsaw to installing a drop-in router. And of course there's always the new tool reviews at the end.

Coming up in the next few weeks we have our Impact Driver Head-to-Head article as well as coverage from the Milwaukee Tool media event on Tuesday, 6/7. There's also a HowTo article on building a paver patio in the works so stay tuned.

Having a router table in the shop is the easiest and safest way to route profiles on large and small parts alike. In a small shop, the router table either has to be portable so it can be tucked away or it has to be part of another tool. In this article I'll show you how to machine a drop-in plate into your table saw extension table.

Both Contributing Editor Jeff Williams and I have our routers set up this way. It's an easy way to hide the router in plain sight while still being extremely useful.
