Hi Guys,
With the national holidays (Canada Day and 4th of July) now well in the rearview, it's a busy week for anyone in construction. We're almost in the middle of summer and all of the large projects are underway.
One of our current jobs wrapping up right now is at the local metal foundry. It involves replacing a giant
sand bucket line in the middle of the foundry floor. This line runs about 4 stories high and had to be replaced while the foundry was shutdown for 2 weeks around the 4th of July. The only way to replace it was through the roof so we brought in a giant crane. 450 Ton to be exact. Just to bring the crane in was a $10,000 travel bill and 16 semi loads between all the boom sections and counterweights.
The job went smooth as silk making the crane worth every penny. I hope all your
jobs are going just as smoothly this week.
The picture is of my 4 year old. This was about the closest we could get without standing on the tracks because the crane was very active even at 7 PM. When you bring in a unit this big, it runs dawn 'til dusk until the job is completed.
This week we've got a shop-made saw jig, the newest addition to the FlexVolt lineup, and part 2 of a cool article on building a patio.
Enjoy!
