What's New?

Hi Guys,

Fall is certainly in the air here in New England with kids back in school and cool morning temps in the 40's we can't help but start thinking about the approaching winter. This week we've got a bunch of new tools to share as the cordless tool industry is exploding with new products to talk about.

Just wanted to quickly share a picture above from a current project my team is working on here in NH. We're renovating a 10,000 sf historic building and the project includes an underground venting system to remove hazardous vapors, a pretty serious vapor barrier, and hydronic radiant heat. What you see above is a bright yellow Stego Vapor Barrier and a cool new product we're trying called HydroFoam from NuDura. The foam has a grid of round "pucks" that allow PEX tubing to snap into place, holding it securely in place. Anyone that's laid out PEX on flat foam board will know why we're so excited to try it out.

I'll definitely have an article on this product in the near future so stay tuned. Below we've got a bunch of new tools and a quick article on Fall Landscaping projects.

Milwaukee Rechargeable USB Lighting
Image
Cordless LED lighting has exploded in the construction industry and Milwaukee keeps adding to their family of lighting solutions. We recently got our hands on their new line of Rechargeable USB Personal Lighting products and we're very impressed.

The new line includes a flashlight, a hard hat headlamp, and a pocket sized flood light. They are all very well built and work on a new rechargeable REDLITHIUM USB battery pack. Very reasonably priced these are sure to be a huge hit. Read on to learn more!

Makita Cordless Router

Image
One of the biggest issues with routers in the past has been cord management, and keeping it away from the router as you work around a piece. Users often drape if over their shoulder, swipe it out of the way as they work, and often have to remove one hand from the router to do so. Obviously this isn't ideal and certainly creates a safety issue for a tool that's winding up at thousands of RPMs.

This year we've seen a couple of cordless options hit the market including this new 18V Cordless Router from Makita. This thing is a beast and certainly built to change the game for contractors looking for a cordless option. Interested? Click the link below!
