What's NEW this week?

Hey Guys,

When purchasing tools, how do you avoid getting trapped in that proverbial mouse trap of "Which Tool is BEST?"

That's simple, check out one of our Head-2-Head test tool comparisons.

Each head to head tool review starts off with specifically designed tests that allow us to showcase the tool in real world applications. During the testing we typically have 5-7 individuals with varying backgrounds use the tools so we can develop a matrix of results and opinions on the tools performance.

The results are used to develop our head to head tool reviews where we compare topics like: Ergonomics, Price/Value, Speed, Power, Accessories, Durability and Performance.

Our goal is to offer you a relative comparison of similar tools so you can make a decision about which tool is best for you. We're always looking for ideas so feel free to send us a note if there's a head to head tool review you'd like to see us do next!

OUR NEXT HEAD-2-HEAD

This week the TBB Crew is gearing up to perform a Head-2-Head test comparig the Dewalt Flexvolt, Makita 36 Volt, and the Milwaukee FUEL reciprocating saws. We will be following the exact same protocol as we did on our 18 volt reciprocating saw testing [article / video below.]

We will also be looking at and testing out 25-foot premium tape measures, to see hoe they "measure" up!

So stay tuned.

Charging For Estimates

There have been so many times in my career, where a homeowner asks for a “Ball Park” price for their project. The reality is that MOST “Ball Park prices,” end up being nowhere close to the actual price of the project?

I find the whole idea of Ball Park pricing comical. I’m not saying it doesn’t have value in some selling scenarios. I am saying however that when contractors offer a ball park price, more times than not they strike out, rather than hit a home run.
