It's World of Concrete time again. WOC is the first trade show/media event of the year and it's when a lot of the major brands show off their newest and best for the concrete and concrete adjacent trades. This show fills up the entire Las Vegas convention center and multiple outdoor parking lots. Just tons of
tools and equipment.
Ridgid was also in Vegas but not at the show. They had a suite at a hotel to show off a few brand new tools to visiting media. Pictured above is their new 18V MegaMax interchangeable tool system. It is coming out this summer and the whole system will sell for $386. It will also be available as bare attachments. Pictured above are a couple powerheads, an orbital reciprocating saw, 1-1/8" SDS+ rotary hammer, and a right angle
drill.

Gaps in Wood Flooring
Winter is the time that I get questions about gaps in wood floors showing up in solid 3/4-inch thick, wood floors. Gaps in wood floors are normal, and occur when the wood loses its moisture content. Several factors can lead to its cause.

Each winter I’m asked repeatedly why new energy efficient windows have condensation on them. Window condensation is due in large part because of how your home is built and not really
a result of faulty windows.
Each year homes are being built better with improved insulation, better vapor barriers and overall improved air infiltration. However this has resulted in very “tight” homes. “Tight” homes are great for helping us reduce how much energy it takes to heat and cool them however it makes it much harder to remove water laden air and contaminated air.
