Hey Guys,
This week has been busy both on the job site as well as in the shop. Our Dust Extractor H2H was published last week and we're gearing up for our next one. Rob spent a little time in his shop recently fitting Rockler's new router lift into his Unisaw table extension.
It's funny, of all the tools in a woodworking shop, the router table seems to be the one that guys like to build themselves. Just about all of us here on the TBB Crew have built or customized ours in some way. If you're thinking about building one,
our second article below shows you how to add a lift or insert plate to an extension or table top.
Last week we touched on the new Hitachi MultiVolt battery packs, we have more info on the new 36V tools that are being released soon in the article linked below.
In 3 weeks, it will be officially spring, it's almost time to start planning those warm weather projects. We'll be sharing some relevant articles over the next few weeks to help you get a
jump start on those so stay tuned!

Check Your Sump Pump Before The Water Comes
Late last summer a buddy called me up and said his sump pump was spraying water all over his mechanical room. We had just had a multi-day rain event and the check-valve had a cracked housing. We swapped it out quick and he hasn't had an issue since.
Now it's almost spring and the snow has been piling up all winter. Spring is usually the wettest time of the year so it's important to check
things now to make sure your sump pump and system are working correctly.
This article is an oldie but a goodie. If you've ever used a handheld router, you know that the tool takes two hands to operate safely. What if you're trying to route materials that are a little unstable? You need to find a way to clamp them down or have a buddy come and hold them steady.
Mount the tool to a heavy plate and then to a table and now your hands are free to guide the material. Large and small parts are now easier than ever to route and the results are better too.
This article shows how to mount a lift into an extension wing of a table saw but the same steps can be used to mount it in a stand alone table top or cabinet. Read on and build your
own!
Last week we touched on a little bit of the new Hitachi MultiVolt battery. This week we want to share some of the tools being powered by that new battery. The tools start rolling out in September and will cover most of the common tools. One highlight is that Hitachi will have the first 10" cordless table saw. Pretty cool stuff, check out the rest of the tools at the link
below.
Lighting is a really hot category in the tool market right now. From small personal lights to large job site lights, there are literally hundreds if not thousands of options to choose from. In the penlight category Streamlight is making a splash with their new Dualie light.
It has some unique features not found on other pen lights making it standout amongst its peers. Check out our review and see if the
Streamlight makes the cut in our everyday carry arsenal.
