Hey Guys,
The new Hitachi EC 28M quiet compressor rolled into the shop this morning. It was a tool we saw at STAFDA and more
recently Hitachi's media event in Georgia. While it's main feature is its low volume, just 59 dB, what's worth noting is how well it's built. It was designed for minimal volume, but the controls are well marked and easily accessible. Clearly a lot of thought went into it.
Hitachi has done a great job with pneumatics for a long time but more recently they've been making huge strides with their cordless tools. Perhaps part of it was due to their acquiring of Metabo. Their
new MultiVolt tools are slated to hit the market later this summer but to wet your whistle until then, click the image above to read about what's coming or some of their recently released tools.
The bugs are just starting to come out in our area and so it was time to take a quick walk around the house and see what screens needed cleaning and repair. Most were dirty from last season but only one needed repair. Either the dog or the kids ran into the screen on the sliding door and it has a big rip. Time to replace it.
If you have some screens with holes or tears, click the article
below and we'll show you how to repair them yourself. It's pretty simple and only requires a sharp knife and a screen roller.
Regardless of your climate outdoor living spaces are quickly becoming popular for cooking, entertaining and relaxation. More and more of my clients are looking to the outdoors to expand their homes and bring the same comforts they have inside to outdoor spaces, by creating multipurpose outdoor living spaces that function as extensions of their home.
One of the features show in the previous article was this hidden water fountain. In this article we show you step by step how to build one in your own yard. It's a lot easier than you think and can be done in a weekend if you have an electrical hookup close by. Read on for the full How-To.
We're big on efficiency around here. We strive for it in the shop, on the job site, as well as in our tool storage. #TBBCrew Will recently started redesigning the layout of his tool trailer to better suit the way he works, to give everything a place, and to ultimately make him more efficient. Read on for so of the things he's doing and why.
This week Dewalt announced a new 12 ah FlexVolt battery pack. For those of you keeping score at home. That's double the capacity of the batteries that came with the FV Miter Saw. We'll be getting our hands on the new batteries at some point but thought you would enjoy reading about the flagship tool of the FlexVolt line.
