Hey Guys,
First off, I just wanted to say welcome to the new email subscribers. I know you were hoping to win that sweet saw pictured above. Unless your name is Rich Prange, I have some bad news for you... All hope is not lost though, distributors are getting their shipments in and have them for sale now. Acme, ToolBarn,
Ohio Power Tool, etc all have them in stock now.
Second, in today's newsletter we have articles on removing tile, building soffits (or bulkheads), and insulating a cathedral ceiling. And as always we have our latest tool reviews and YouTube videos near the end.
Tile trends seem to move almost as fast as paint trends. If you find yourself with a dated bathroom or kitchen, how do you get up all that tile? It can seem like a daunting task but we'll show you how to get it done right!
A soffit is often necessary to conceal obstructions that hang below finished ceiling height. Most often they're found in basements but can be necessary in other rooms as well. Not only can they conceal ductwork but plumbing or even electrical chases. We'll show you how we build them.
A cathedral ceiling can make it tough to get enough insulation to make the living space not too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. When Todd built his workshop, he wanted it to be comfortable year round. That means he had to get as much R value as he could into a small space while still being able to vent the attic. Read on to see how he did it.
Graco FinishPro HVLP 9.5 Pro Contractor Paint Sprayer
It isn't too often that a tool comes along and makes your work take a giant leap forward. I've sprayed HVLP for awhile but it was with a cheap (sub $300) unit off of Amazon using off the shelf products. Using pro-grade finishes in this pro-grade tool has made my wood finishing way better than it ever has been. Read on to see all about this finishing system.
The Milwaukee 18V Random Orbital Sander 2648-21 is a 5-inch, hook and loop sander. It is capable of reaching 12,000 OPM max, [no load] and truly feels like a corded sander. It delivers 35 min runtime on low and 20 min on high with a 3.0 Ah battery. Throw a 5.0 on and you're over 30 min on high. That's a pretty good number from a pretty good sander. See what else this sander has to offer at the link
below.
