Hey Guys,
The last week was a whirlwind. We spent a couple days in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts at the home of Lenox Tools. Lenox is a Stanley, Black & Decker brand that is over 100 years old and makes all of their linear edge products right in the factory pictured above. It was really great to see American
manufacturing in action.
At the event they were showing off their brand new line of jigsaw blades. They're impressive little accessories but don't take my word for it, try it yourself. Click the picture above to hit up their microsite. There you can enter your info for a free blade. The site isn't quite live yet so you may just have to try later today or Wednesday.
Todd is at Hilti today seeing their latest and greatest so keep an eye on our
facebook and instagram feeds for all the updates out of Dallas, Texas.
This week's newsletter we have an article on workshop lighting, fall landscape tips and the long awaited head to head between the Dewalt and Milwaukee cordless table saws.
Fall is a great time to get some fall landscaping projects done around your home. Spending some time on your landscaping in the fall can pay big dividends next Spring. While we've already covered aerating in last week's article, did you know fall is the perfect time to plant perennial bulbs?
After the Lenox event, I rented a car, drove across the state, and stayed at Rob's house near Boston. One of the things that stuck out to me about the shop is how well it is lit up. In this article Rob goes over his lighting and how it might benefit you in your shop.
When I was out visiting Rob I also visited one of his job sites. It was a huge addition onto an occupied home. Rob had set up multiple barriers of zip wall containment to keep the dust out of the living quarters. Check out this article to see how to implement dust control on your site.
Place your bets! We've finally finished this one up, the cordless job site table saw heat to head article. We put these saws through the same rigorous testing as our previous corded job site saw test. I won't spoil it for you, read on to see what saw is best!
Earlier this year Ryobi released a tool that was as at home on the job site as it was in a home garage or shop. The Ryobi Devour is a cordless sweeper that is like a Zamboni for your floors. It cleans up all the loose stuff in front of it and leaves a clean smooth surface in its wake.
