Hey Guys,
First off, I want to apologize for linking to that non-existant jigsaw blade giveaway website last week. The folks at Lenox said it would be up last Monday so I thought it was safe to post. Alas, that site still isn't live yet. Maybe by next week it will be up. It will be worth the wait though because their new
blades are really nice.
Todd is back from Hilti and saw their soon to be released new tools. That recip saw above is one of the new ones. The picture above links to Todd's highlights article of the event. Hilti has traditionally been a concrete and steel tool company but it's nice to see some carpentry tools as well.
Other articles this week include winterizing your irrigation system, installing wainscoting, and some awesome new tool
articles.
As the popular Game of Thrones meme likes to state, "Winter is coming." It is indeed so it's important to start thinking about blowing out your irrigation system so that freezing water doesn't blow apart your pipes. In this article, Rob
details exactly what he does to winterize his system, check it out.
Here's a job we're in the middle of right now. It's a full height panel molding using off the shelf one by material and a beaded trim. It will give the entryway of this home a much more upscale appearance. Adding panels or wainscoting is pretty easy to do but can really have an impact on a room. Check out the article below to see how we dressed up an entry of a home using off the shelf trim
pieces.
Recently, Hilti had us down to Dallas, Texas to show off what they've been working on since World of Concrete last year. This year's innovations did not disappoint. From the introduction to some carpentry tools, to a cordless table 1 compliant vac, to new lasers, Hilti definitely impressed us with their releases. Check out more from the event at the link below.
Dust and debris is something that affects every trade. With many cordless tools outperforming their corded counterparts, it had us wondering when a cordless vacuum would come along to make job site clean up easier and faster. Read on to see our full review of this new and innovative cleaning tool.
With shorter days come cooler nights. It's about this time of year that I head out into the woods and make sure I have my firewood all ready to go for the long winter. Like many of you, wood is a major source of heat for me. I've been testing the Hitachi 50cc saw for a few months now and while it may not be a name you've come to know in chainsaws,
at $300 it's worth consideration. Check out our full review at the link below.
