Hey Guys,
This week Rob just got in the Dewalt FlexVolt Cut Off Saw. It's an all cordless saw with 9" blade capacity. He'll be getting it out on the job site soon and testing it on a variety of materials. It's really an exciting time in the tool world. More and more tools that used to be corded or gas powered are now cordless. In many cases the cordless versions are better than the cords but the gas-equivalent performance really depends on the application. Over the next few years we may see that gap
tighten up... although, fuel injection is starting to come into the small engine market too. It's an interesting time for sure.
Each winter I’m asked repeatedly why new energy efficient windows have condensation on them. Window condensation is due in large part because of how your home is built and not really a result of faulty windows.
Each year homes are being built better with improved insulation, better vapor barriers and overall improved air infiltration. However this has resulted in very “tight” homes. “Tight” homes are great for helping us reduce how much energy it takes to heat and cool them however it makes it much harder to remove water laden air and contaminated air. So what does this all mean for your home? Click the link and find out!
During the holiday season, many people leave their homes to travel to see friends and family. A few years ago, a customer went on vacation for a couple weeks and came home to multiple feet of water in the basement. While this article focuses mostly on winterizing a home like a vacation home, these ideas can be implemented if you're planning on taking a long vacation this holiday season. If you live anywhere
in the north, this article is for you.
This head to head we first published back in February of 2018 but the results still hold true. The vac market doesn't move at nearly the speed as say drills, drivers, and saws. Many of you may have seen this article but if not, give it a look. We built all sorts of crazy jigs for this one so that we could level the playing field and compare all the vacs equally. If you haven't seen this one yet, give it a
look.
The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 3-inch compact cut off tool is a well-balanced, durably designed, one-handed cutting and cut-off tool. Having the ability to cut in either direction and to reverse the blade rotation is a great feature! This little tool is impressive to say the least. Having a cordless vac for quick clean ups is really useful on the job site or in the shop. In my shop I have dust collection on most of my power tools and sanders but it isn't perfect. Small amounts of dust and debris is still generated. Even on the job site I have a vac on my miter saw but there's still dust around the saw at the end of the day. Enter this guy. A quick pull of the trigger and bob's your
uncle! Check out our full review to see if this vac can help run a tighter, cleaner ship... um... shop!
