Hey Guys,
Another month has gone by and that means we have a bunch more content on tap for you. It's been a busy month around the Tool Box Buzz jobsites. Hopefully your season has been a busy one as well.
Some of this month's content includes a new head to head with 12V impacts, cleaning off rust spots from pavement, how to heat a cold concrete floor, and a few new tool reviews. And as always the YouTube videos are at the bottom.
A lot of contractors pull trailers for tools or equipment. Sometimes these steel beauties (or the rigs that pull them!) can leave some rust spots on the driveway or garage. So how do you remove them? Rob shows us how it's done in a way that anyone can understand and undertake at their own place.
Rob recently was tasked with heating an uninsulated concrete floor in a basement bathroom. This HowTo article explains exactly how he did it from the products he used to tips and tricks on installation. If you have an uninsulated concrete floor in your basement, this article is for you, check it out!
There was a time not that long ago when corded recip saws ruled the jobsite. Cordless saws were convenient but they didn't quite have the power of their corded brethren. Fast forward a couple years and now corded and cordless tools are equivalent in power but cordless still has convenience and corded owns on runtime. So how do you decide whether to get corded or cordless? Metabo HPT has a tool platform
called MultiVolt that can run off of battery or cord and the recip saw is perfect to test it out. So how did it do? Read all about it at the link below.
To paraphrase the old Virginia Slims slogan... "12V tools, you've come a long way, baby!" It wasn't that long ago that 12 volt tools were thought by many as being just DIY tools. We've seen a resurgence in this voltage in the last couple years so now just about every manufacturer has a 12 volt line of tools geared towards the pro contractor. We test everyone's 12V impact driver to see who reigns
supreme. So who do you think is the king? Hit the link to find out!
Did you happen to catch our cordless 18ga brad nailer head to head article earlier this month? One of the competitors was the Dewalt 20V Max offering. This nailer is almost 2 years old but was quite the competitor in the H2H. So what makes it
so great? Click the link below to see why it's a great addition for anyone on the Dewalt battery platform.
