Hey Guys,
Another month has gone by already and that means another new head to head article and video is live. The crew has been working really hard the last couple months do about one a month. The picture above is from the framing nailer head to head. These tests are always an all hands on deck affair with our goal being to produce the most thorough content we can to help you with your tool decisions.
Some of this month's additional content includes a How-To on removing a load-bearing wall/beam, gaps in wood floors, and a few new tool reviews. And as always the YouTube videos are at the bottom.
Removing walls and opening up a home is a great way to make a space more inviting. But what if the walls/beams are load bearing? How do you take those out and not have everything come crashing down? In this article, Rob shows you exactly how he does it on his remodel projects.
Within the last couple weeks, the weather has turned colder, the lakes have flipped over, and heating season has begun. For a home, this is the time that all the woodwork starts shrinking. This includes wood flooring. Gaps start developing between once solid flooring. What does it mean? Read on at the link below for all the answers.
Southwire, a name any electrician will recognize as the maker of all things romex and wire, has come out with some all new drivers and wire strippers. Some of them are even made in the USA. Wes takes them for a spin to see how they fare. See for yourself at the link below.
When it comes to wood framing one of the most important tools to have on the job is a framing nailer. We test all the major brands and models to see which one is the best. And what's great about this one is that they all use the same power source... Air... so you can pick whatever gun you think fits your needs best. So who do you think won this shootout? I can tell you now, it isn't who you would think!
Check out all the action at the link below.
In case you missed it, last month's head to head was cordless cut-off saws. While the Husqvarna didn't finish first in performance it was way lighter (by a long shot) than the competitors offerings. See what else sets this saw apart at the link below.
