Hey Guys,
This last weekend we held our annual Tool Box Buzz BBQ. It's where we all descend on Rob's house in Boston to enjoy a day of camaraderie, food, and of course tools. The crew has grown by a few members this year but there was still plenty of fun to go around.
This month we have a number of great articles including one on cleaning your A/C unit and then one on installing low-voltage landscape lighting. There are some really good tool reviews further down in the newsletter (including a head to head) and finally the YouTube videos are in the caboose slot like usual.
No matter where you live it seems like just about everywhere has had some abnormally high temperatures. At some point, your A/C may not be functioning as well as it should. Here's how to clean it to make sure it's running at peak output.
Low Voltage Landscape Lighting is a great DIY project with the ability to transform any yard into a beautiful night time setting. Electrical projects may seem daunting to some people but this is a project that anyone with basic hand tools can handle and the results will leave you smiling from ear to ear.
We've had cordless trim routers for a number of years now but Metabo HPT was first out of the gate in the 1/2" category. Framers and finish carpenters have been wishing for this tool for years and it's finally here. Click the link to see how it did in our testing.
When it comes to attaching small pieces of trim, a pin nailer can't be beat. Milwaukee recently introduced a new cordless pin nailer but instead of being on the M18 platform, it's on the M12 making it much lighter. Check out Rob's full review at the link below.
Here is the part 2 of our jigsaw head to head that features barrel grip jigsaws. We tested the 5 top contenders for barrel grips using the same setup as our top handle jigsaw head to head. So which saw came out on top? Smash the link below and see for
yourself.
