My Mother's Day Confession
by Jim
Mother's Day
I am a self-confessed romantic—definitely a rare breed these days. In addition, as you may already know, Carrie and I are continuously working on the Intimate Couple website, and assisting our followers to pursue the marriage of their dreams.

And yet, late Saturday night—the eve of Mother’s Day—I found myself in a local grocery store to purchase last-minute flowers, and a Mother’s Day card!

I was able to procure the last “Happy Mother’s Day to My Wife” card in the store—the very last one!

How does this even happen to a guy like me!? Life happens. Guys are guys. Nobody’s perfect.

It really doesn’t matter what the excuses might be. What matters is that we take ownership of our mess—and fix it. For me, that meant bringing my oversight to my wife’s attention and laughing about it together! If I can mess up, isn’t it to be expected that we all can mess up?

So Carrie and I have decided that we need to be more sympathetic with people, and rather than feeling judgmental about others, we’re going to get really good at coming alongside men and women to encourage and equip them with the tools they need to bring their dream marriage closer to a reality!
