It's funny to look at my transformation.
Most people see the physical changes. I see two totally different people.
This is the part I really struggle with.
I know exactly what it takes to lose the weight and keep it off. I'm living proof.
But... the answer isn't exciting. It doesn't motivate anyone. It doesn't inspire anyone to take action.
I'm quite possibly the worst sales person ever because I'm too honest.
I could easily
sit here and say.. do these 3 things to lose 100+ lbs and keep them off forever!
And way more people would listen.
But I can't do that. Because it doesn't work that way.
I only know one language...
Full
transparency.
Here's what it takes to lose the weight and keep it off...
It doesn't take a diet. Or even being consistent with a nutrition plan that is more personalized.
It doesn't take a training program or a supplement protocol or some special meal timing approach.
It doesn't take 10,000 steps or a wind down routine.
It doesn't take meditation or mindfulness or self care.
Anyone can follow a plan. Anyone can follow instructions.
The way you lose the weight and keep it off is by changing your
identity. Your habits. Your behaviors. Your beliefs.
You have to gradually become the person that wants to make better food choices because of how it makes you feel. You have to gradually become the person that chooses to move their body each day. You have to gradually become the person that integrates more positive coping mechanisms into their life.
Thing is... no on is buying that stuff.
"Here, drink this in the morning and lose 20 lbs!"
That sounds way better than...
... become the person that gradually chooses more beneficial behaviors and
habits while upgrading your identity to better align with the future version of yourself that you desire to become.
I understand the struggle because I lived it for too long.
It wasn't until I truly identified the patterns and behaviors that were ingrained in me that were always going to hold me back.. and actively replaced them over time.. that it
finally stuck.
Food used to be my coping mechanism 10 times out of 10.
Now it's maybe once or twice out of 10.
I've integrated walking, basketball, journaling, lifting, and breathing exercises as part of my coping mechanisms.
Two different people. That's what allowed me to lose the weight and keep it off.
I understand, this may not resonate because it doesn't have the emotional reaction that a quick solution does.
Which is probably why you may be hesitant to join our challenge.
Yes, it's an amazing jumpstart challenge and we're seeing, on average, 11lbs of fat loss (not just weight loss) over 21 days. I know that isn't the "lose 10lbs in 5 days" stuff you're used to seeing. However...
We're going to focus on sustainable change. Lasting results. Upgrading your mindset and how you deal with failure.
Even the fact that you'll be directly helping a charity help with clothing, food, and shelter may not be enough of an emotional driver to make the commitment to this type of change.
I get it. I understand. I'm not going to convince you otherwise.
See... worst sales person ever.
I'm here for the people that have a belief that they CAN make this change. That they CAN become that person that they know is inside of them. That they CAN reach their goals and maintain them. That truly WANT to make the world a better place through their own actions.
If you are that person, then please come join us.
You'll be amazed at how much better it feels to get that amazing start, and then the tools to keep it off and do it the right way.
And you'll be proud that you're doing it for a great cause too.
Join us here.
All the best,
Coach Mikey
