Now, meet the WROF, Inc.
Board Scholars, starting with Karissa Petska!
Please join us in congratulating the Aliesha Crowe, Ed.D. WROF, Inc. Board Scholar, Karissa Petska of
Bloomer, WI. Karissa is currently earning a degree in Animal Science at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire. Since Karissa was a child, she enjoyed seeing the different animals on her grandparents' farm. Her interest in livestock continued to grow with the help of her FFA advisors and competitions. During last year, Karissa has assisted in embryo transfers to help the genetics of many different herds. When she graduates this spring, Karissa plans to help farmers become more
successful by improving milk production, pregnancy rates, and feed rations, in addition to working on her family farm.
"My goal is to
continue to care for livestock as a dairy specialist and help farmers and agriculture thrive in Wisconsin," says Karissa. "My dream is to have my own herd of highlanders and to continue to show my community and family the importance of agriculture."
Grateful for the WROF, Inc. Board Scholarship Award, Karissa says: "This scholarship will allow me to finish my education and continue to spread the benefits of agriculture to my community and family!"
With deep admiration and gratitude to the WROF, Inc. Board of Directors, the WROF, Inc. Board Scholar Award program is made possible by the generosity of its members, both current and emeritus, and matching gifts of the WROF, Inc.
Please stay tuned to meet additional WROF, Inc. Board Scholars in the following e-newsletters!
